The Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks of the World (IBPOEW) was an inclusive fraternal order modeled on the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, from which African Americans were barred until 1973. The IBPOEW was established in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1897 and currently has a membership of around 500,000 worldwide. Condition: Light wear and surface soil. Minor spotting at right edge.
