Beschreibung:

Lot consists of two cabinet cards of men posing with phonographs. Both are studio portraits with one featuring a variety of instruments including a six-string banjo, hammer dulcimer, sleigh bells, and what appears to be a form of xylophone. Marked on recto for E. M. Middleton of Aberdeen, Scotland, with additional address label on verso. Second image marked "Cabinet Portrait" on recto with shamrock imprint. Verso shows Cyrillic label, roughly translating to "photograph/saved negative" with smaller label appearing to be a trademark or manufacturers label. Rubber ink stamp present but illegible. Condition: Images are in good to very good condition with minimal wear to corners or edges. Some foxing and staining of mountings present. Some light flaking of emulsion also present.
