Lot of 9, including 8 cabinet cards and 1 boudoir card of soldiers from the late Indian wars and the Spanish-American War, comprising: Boudoir card portrait of a 20th infantryman Harry D. Humphry. W.J. West: Fort Buford, Dakota Territory, n.d. Imprint on recto. Subject identified by inscription on verso. Humphry is pictured in uniform wearing his sword and hat with his regiment's insignia. (Somewhat faded) Cabinet card full-length portrait of 2 double-armed soldiers. Benjamin & Gowing: Livingston, MT, n.d. Imprint on recto. Subjects identified as "Symorski Fisher" on verso by ink inscription. Both men wear their uniforms with prominent ammunition belts, holstered knives, and holding rifles. Cabinet cared bust-length portrait of a 25th infantryman. Henn: Leavenworth, KS, n.d. Imprint on recto. Inscription on verso reads: "From papa to his darling little boys Walter and John." (Scuffs and chips to mount, some scratches and scuffs to image, puncture in lower right). Cabinet card of a soldier holding a bayonetted rifle in front of a printed backdrop of tipis. Bauer: Leavenworth, KS, n.d. Imprints on recto and verso. Cabinet card 3/4-length portrait of a cavalry sergeant G. Stromburg. Dell Chandler: Gallup, NM, [1899]. Imprint on recto. Inscription on verso: "Gno. Stromburg / Gallup N.M. 1899" Stromburg, a member of Co. H of an unidentified cavalry regiment is captured in his uniform wearing white gloves and grasping his sword. His insignia and a pin on his jacket are clearly visible. Cabinet card half-length portrait of a young soldier with draped aiguillettes. E.B. Snell: Wellington, KS, n.d. Imprint on recto. Cabinet card 3/4-length portrait of a double-armed boy. Temple: Clinton, IA, n.d. The lad wears a cavalry hat with a knife and revolver holstered in his belt. Cabinet card half-length portrait of an artilleryman. Baker: Denver, CO, n.d. Imprint on recto. The soldier weras a ribbon on his uniform and holds his artillery spiked helmet. Cabinet card bust-length portrait of a man in uniform, possibly a firefighter. Locke & Peterson: Deadwood, SD, n.d.The subject wears a hat and uniform with a "C&G" monogram and a ribbon pinned to his jacket.
