Entirely hand-sewn of cotton, 20 plates each containing ten names worked in chain stitch, apparently representing different "family circles"; all framed within a scalloped border having similarly stitched names. There are approximately 275 people represented on this quilt that was likely constructed at a local church; 75" x 91". Provenance: Ex: Charles F. Orr Estate, Frankfort, Ohio Condition: Minor staining, areas of age toning.
