Serrated slope front sight, square notch flat top rear sight. "P" proof in front of rear sight. Left side of slide with "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.". Barrel with "COLT 45 AUTO" on left side of chamber, "P" on left lug. Top of frame with "G" near disconnector hole. Left side of frame FJA prof for Atwood, "P" proof near checkered magazine release. Right side of frame with crossed cannon cartouche, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", serial number with "No" with dash under o. and "1911A1 U.S. ARMY". Small parts comprise narrow checkered hammer, long 1911A1 grip safety, arched knurled mainspring housing, thick tab safety, checkered slide release, short stamped trigger, and checkered magazine release. Fully checkered walnut grips. Full blue magazine with "C" on baseplate lip. CONDITION: Very good, retaining virtually all of the parkerized finish with some marks from handling and use. Some silvering towards muzzle consistent with holster use and to reciprocating areas. Some minor spotting and discoloration to right side of slide, near ejection port. Grips heavily smoothed from use. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling.
