Rare K-date marked chamber with S/42 toggle and stylized "S" indicating first lot of approximately 1700 guns. Right of barrel has traces of the early droop wing eagle while bottom of barrel is marked 734 and 8,83 and left side of barrel has the early O-37 proof. The majority of the small parts including the side plate, extractor, safety ejector, magazine release button and front of the trigger guard also has the correct small script "S" markings. The complete matching serial number is marked on the left side of the barrel extension, front of the frame, and underside of the barrel, with the last two numbers "734" marked on most of the small components.The magazine is blue with an aluminum base marked "2/734". The pistol is fitted with checkered walnut grips marked internally 34 with early droop eagle marking. Pistol is housed in the appropriate 1934 Dresden holster with droop eagle and has the corresponding spare magazine marked 1/734 with droop eagle proof. Take down/loading tool is the rare O-37 marked tool. Pistol is accompanied by capture paper date March 25, 1946 to Glenn Stambaugh and the captured item is identified as "1" pistol. CONDITION: Very fine as completely refinished and restored.Restored is defined as markings enhanced and numbers reapplied as well as all finishes reapplied. The blue finish mimics the original as does the straw finishes. The bore and mechanics are excellent. The magazine markings are restored and are contemporary. The holster and tool are very fine and original with solid stitching and crisp markings.
