Lot consists of (A) Second Battle of the Marne commemorative pistol. Standard high polish finish with normal rollmarks. Polished wood grips with inset medallions. Housed in the correct presentation case with reversible bottom that discusses history of the battle on one side, and provides a map on reverse. CONDITION: Fine, retaining the vast majority of the original finish with a few very minor marks from handling and operation, likely shop wear. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling. Case is fine with some bumps and bruises on exterior. Original foam insert in case to protect inside grip has crystallized to both grip and case and is deteriorating. (B) Battle of Belleau Wood commemorative. Standard high polish finish with normal rollmarks. Housed in the correct presentation case with reversible information placard that discusses history of the battle on one side, and provides a map on reverse. CONDITION: Fine, retaining the vast majority of the original finish with a few very minor marks from handling and operation, likely shop wear. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling. Case is very good with some bumps and bruises on exterior and some peeling on paint on bottom. Classic configuration with high polish blue finish, and normal rollmarks. Wooden grips with appropriate inlays.
