(C) LOT OF 2: COLT OFFICERS MODEL HEAVY BARREL & COLT ARMY SPECIAL DOUBLE ACTION...

Lot consists of (A) Colt Officers Model Heavy Barrel manufactured in 1949. All blue finish, with a 6" tapered heavy barrel. Partridge front sight with a windage adjustable rear sight. Mounted with 2 piece Colt silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Left side of barrel is marked "COLT OFFICERS/ MODEL 38" above "*HEAVY BARREL*". Rampant Colt logo is present on the left side of the frame. Trigger and hammer are checkered, with the backstrap being serrated. Complete with a Colt Official Police box. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some minor scratches and some minor marks from storage and handling. Mirror bore with sharp rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips are excellent, showing few signs of use. Box shows some wear from age and storage, exhibiting several tears, a loss to one corner of the top lid, and several taped areas. (B) Colt Army Special manufactured in 1923. All blue finish, with a 4" barrel. Half-moon blade front sight with a notched rear sight. Mounted with 2 piece Colt silver medallion checkered walnut grips. Left side of the barrel is marked "COLT ARMY/SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F.". Rampant Colt logo present on the left side of the frame. Trigger is smooth, with a checkered hammer. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their factory blue finish, exhibiting few minor areas of wear, with the exception of the butt, which has turned a mellow brown patina. Mirror bore, with sharp rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips, bear a few minor handling marks.
