Manufactured by Colt in 1968. Left side of barrel is stamped "PYTHON 357/ * 357 MAGNUM CTG. *" with Colt's patent information on the right. Left side of frame bears the Rampant Colt logo and "VP" proof. Frame is marked "INS/ N" beneath the left grip panel. Features include a nickel finish, 4" vent rib barrel, ramp front sight, adjustable rear sight, serrated trigger and backstrap, as well as 2-piece Colt gold medallion checkered wood grips. Revolver is accompanied by an original Colt factory cardboard box that is handwritten to match on the bottom. CONDITION: Metal components retain virtually all of their original factory nickel finish, exhibiting light superficial scratches all around. Cylinder bears a light dragline, and revolver does not appear to have been fired since leaving the factory. Fine bore, with well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show few small handling marks overall. Box shows some wear from handling and storage.
