(C) BERGMANN BAYARD MODEL 1910 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL.

Beschreibung:

Bergmann Bayard Model 1910 manufactured by Pieper under license from Bergmann. These pistols were only manufactured from 1910 to 1914, when the German Army invaded and occupied Belgium during World War I. Left side of receiver is marked "BREVETE./ S.G.D.G." followed by "ANCIENS ETABLISSEMENTS PIEPER./ HERSTAL-LIEGE./ BERGMANN'S PATENT". Right side bears a single Belgian horizontal "C" within a diamond proof, which is also present on the right side of the barrel and on the frame. Receiver and frame are matching and grips are unnumbered. Barrel is in-the-white, with the receiver being mostly in-the-white. CONDITION: Frame retains large amounts of its original factory blue finish, showing some areas of wear, thinning, and handling marks that show through to gray patina. Frame and grip straps show areas of moderate oxidation. Barrel, receiver, bolt, frame rails, and magazine are in-the-white, showing scattered areas of cleaned pitting and some spotting. Bore is bright, exhibiting light pitting and fair to good rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and wear to their pressed and cut checkering, exhibiting scattered impressions and handling marks overall, as well as some nicks and chips along the edges.
