The Norton twin engine, manufactured for well over thirty years, first appeared in the ‘Featherbed’ frame in the ‘Dominator 88’ of 1953, a 600cc ‘99’ following in 1956. In 1962 came the enclosed ‘Dominator de luxe’, with a 650 version in the same year. This example has been the subject of a thorough rebuild, both mechanically and cosmetically. Bought as a complete machine, all bearings, pistons, valves etc, have been replaced, the final work being a professional gearbox overhaul this year. Original silencers are now fitted and the Dunstall exhaust shown is supplied. A photographic record of the work accompanies this lovely machine in original red and grey, which comes with a V5C and is taxed and MOT’d until July 2007.
