By Shapland and Petter, Barnstaple - An Edwardian oak and marquetry wardrobe and matching dressing table, decorated with Art Nouveau stylised flowerheads and foliage, bordered with chequer feather banding and boxwood and ebony lines, the wardrobe of canted design with a moulded and reeded cornice, the centre fitted with sliding trays and two small drawers, flanked by a hanging cupboard to either side and enclosed by a central mirrored and shaped domed moulded panel doors, the base with a central drawer flanked by an enclosed cupboard to either side, on bun feet, 201cm (6ft 7in) wide, the dressing table with domed arch swing frame mirrored superstructure and two small drawers with spirally turned uprights, containing two short and a single long drawer below, on spirally turned underframing, terminating in castors, 122cm (4ft) wide. *Note A somewhat similar oak hall robe is illustrated in Shapland and Petter Ltd of Barnstaple, Daryl Bennett, page 112.
