The team worked under extreme conditions, carrying fragile glass plates and mixing chemicals at high altitudes and extreme temperatures. This image shows the old Afghan Fort Takka occupied by the British troops during the Second Anglo-Afghan War 1878 - 1881. A rare document of a country still in turmoil today. – Slightly faded in edges, some soil marks in upper left, glued tear in left edge, otherwise in good condition.
