First edition:2 volumes, unpaginated, frontispiece portraits of Burchell, 1 map in each volume, 19 + 20 (13 folding) collotype reproductions with descriptive text (4 + 11 in colour), half red morocco titled gilt on the spines, red cloth sides, marbled endpapers, light foxing on plates and text in both volumes, volume 1 has sprinkled edges, volume 2 uncut fore-edge, volume 1 has a worn dust jacket and volume 11 has no dust jacket and the covers are scuffed, a good set. Gubbins Trust Publications Numbers 1 & 2. This edition is limited to 300 copies. Volume 1 is 165 and volume 11 is 115. Overall Condition: A Good Set Size: Folio (360 x 260 mm)
