"Buffalo Bill" Cody outside his cabin on the grounds of Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show in Brooklyn, performing on horseback, and seated in a tent in costume between performances, ranging in size from 4 x 3.75 in. to 6.6 x 5.25 in. Other highlights include a photograph, 2.5 x 3.25 in., of an aged Gordon William "Pawnee Bill" Lillie with a dog, ca 1940; a printed route sheet from the Wild West Show season of 1907; and card-mounted photograph, 15 x 12 in., showing Buffalo Bill standing alongside the Deadwood Stagecoach, with frontier scout John Y. Nelson perched on top and what appears to be a landscape scene painted on the backdrop behind the group. Lot completed by two additional photographs, one capturing men working in an interior office space, with window shades reading "Barnum & Bailey / Greatest Show on Earth," and the second identified to Charles Belden (1887-1966) of Meetseetse, Wyoming and St. Petersburg, Florida showing ranchers stacking hay.
