The Battle of Marathon... reprinted in type-fac-simile, with an Introduction by H. Buxton Forman, the editor's set of proofs, heavily corrected by both Forman and Wise, and with two additional copies of the introduction, Clay's stamps of February, September and October 1891, and initials of their compositors E.L.W., N.R.S. and E.M.S. (?, partly obscured by sewing) in top inner corners, insertions including a letter from Frank A. Wheeler of J. Pearson & Co. about an original of the book, and a supposed silhouette of young Mrs. Browning, with Forman's bookplate and on flyleaf his habitual initials dated "10.ii.16" (perhaps the date of binding), calf gilt by Rivière "for H. Buxton Forman" (the binders had a personal pallet for him), covers detached [Todd 70e], 8vo, For Private Distribution Only, 1871
