Condition: Creases, toning, foxing, not examined out of frame. Note: The prison near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, was built for prisoners of war, primarily sailors and marines of mostly French and Dutch origin, during the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars from 1793-1815. This work depicts the prison a year following Napoleon's defeat in 1814, and before June of 1816, when the buildings were demolished.
