BRITISH MILITARY MEDALS - WORLD WARS I AND II MEDAL GROUP, WITH ASSOCIATED GOLD AND SILVER MASONIC JEWEL GROUP [9] 1919 to 1945 AD Group comprising: World War I pair, 1914-1918 War medal and Victory medal (both named as issued to LIEUT. H. G. V. RUMBALL of the Royal Garrison Artillery to edge); with World War II 1939-1945 War medal and Defence medal (un-named, as issued); first three mounted on pin bar with ribbons, last loose; with matching miniatures, mounted in pairs, with ribbons and pin bars; with cased silver-gilt Masonic Founder's jewel for Priory Lodge No. 4618 by L. Simpson & Co, London with enamelled pictorial centre, with pale blue ribbon and enamelled pin bar with stamped London hallmark for 1923; with cased gold Masonic jewel by L. Simpson & Co, London, of a set square with past Master pendant , reverse inscribed 'Presented to / W. Bro. G. H. RUMBALL P. M. / by the Brethren of the / PRIORY LODGE No. 4618 / in appreciation of his / efficient services / as fourth W. M. during the year 1927-28' and with stamped London hallmark and 9 carat mark for 1927; with suspender bar for 1927-28, pale blue ribbon with enamelled pictorial emblem affixed, with pin bar inscribed QUARTUS; with a 1912 edition pocket book 'The Lectures of the Three Degrees in Craft Masonry'. 430 grams total. Extremely fine; minor wear to war medals. [9] Literature BBM 124; MY 168/BBM 126; MY 170/BBM 140; M/MY 185/BBM 141; MY 186. Footnotes H. G. V. Rumball was gazetted lieutenant 20th August 1918 (with printout of entry); the Priory Lodge, number 4618, is today based at the Masonic Hall, Sudbury, Suffolk and was founded 6 February 1924.
