Jansson (Jan), Angliae, Scotiae, et Hiberniae sive Britannicar Insularum Descriptio..., 1621, uncoloured map, engraved by Pieter Van den Keere orientated to the west, compass rose and numerous rhumb lines and decorated with the portraits of James I, his wife Anne of Denmark and their son Henry, Prince of Wales, and the royal coat of arms in the Stuart form, central fold skillfully repaired on verso, very slight staining to the margins, 350 x 500 mm, no text on verso (Qty: 1) R. The map was first published in 1604 by Pieter Van den Keere Its outline is closely modelled on Ortelius's map of 1570 but the map is considerably more decorative. Jansson acquired Van den Keere's plates in 1621 and re-issued the map with his imprint and a new date.
