By Wilkinson (#60782), the blade is etched with a crown over GR, royal arms, thistles, the General's initials and the badge of the Queens own Cameron Highlanders. Basket hilt of military type. Leather covered metal scabbard with steel chape. Nickle plated steel basket. Fish skin grip. Red dyed buff leather hand guard. Red tassel. Kenneth Campbell Meiklejohn, (b1907) served in the first Battalion in Burma and India until he was transferred to the Indian Army. He was Adjutant, 3rd Baluch, and selected to attend the Staff College early in WWII. After holding the appointments of Staff Captain, D.S.A.G., and Brigade Major (with the Tochi Column), he commanded 1st Baluch 1943-1947, in the Middle East. From 1947 to 1948 he was Militaty Secretary, Pakistan Army, and was then appointed to command 1st Pakistan Infantry Brigade. Lot comes with extensive folder and a letter from Wilkinson in regard to this item. Condition: Some wear to etching. Basket is in fine condition. Fish skin grip is good but wire is loose.
