FIRST EDITION of Briggs' tables of logarithmic sines and tangents, the first complete trigonometrical tables. The work was finished by his riend Henry Gellibrand after Briggs death in 1630. Gellibrand added a preface "explaining the application of logarithms to plane and spherical trigonometry" (DSB). Brunet I, 1258.
