BRANT, Sebastian. Stultifera nauis ... The Ship of Fooles ... Translated ... by Alexander Barclay [with other works by Barclay]. London: John Cawood, 1570]. 3 parts in one volume, 2° (271 x 172mm), 116 woodcut illustrations, including repeats (lacks title, supplied in facsimile, f.3 and last leaf supplied from other copies, side-notes on f.3 shaved, wormhole in the text from Cc5 to the end with very slight damage, repaired tear in f.5, a few light stains). Brown morocco gilt by W. Pratt gilt edges. Provenance : Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). Second edition of Barclay's translation - the first was printed by Pynson in 1509. STC 3546.
