'THE POWER OF SWEET SONG'. A charming note expressing his inability to attend a concert the next day: 'aber wer ist denn der Unmensch den die Macht süssen Gesanges nicht rührte! Er tauget zu Verrath, Räuberei u[nd] Tücken. Trau Keinem solchen!' [but who is so inhuman that the power of sweet song does not touch him! He is good only for betrayal, brigandage and perfidy. Put not your faith in such a man!'
