Condition : lower right corner of title in facsimile with loss to imprint year, dampstaining and browning. first edition of the first legal vade mecum printed in philadelphia. It is only the second such work published in the colonies (preceded by a very rare New York, 1711 edition). The second part covering the duties of sheriffs is preceded by its own title, with imprint dated 1721, but is continuously paginated and signed to the first section.
