Original dark green ribbed cloth, upper board with design printed in colours and title in gilt, spine lettered in gilt (extremities lightly bumped, short tear on spine), cloth slipcase with gilt morocco lettering-piece. Provenance : Luther Munday (1857-1922, inscription on half-title 'To , Luther Munday , with the Author's Easter Greetings , 1898'). FIRST EDITION. PRESENTATION COPY inscribed by the author of Lady Audley's Secret to her friend Munday. Sadleir 306; Woolf 664 (distinguishing 2 binding variants; this and 664a).
