Atlas containing 38 hand-colored lithographic plates by Bale & Danielsson after Henrik Grönvald, all mounted on guards. Uniform red half morocco gilt, atlas with original wrappers to an original part bound in at the back. Condition : spines slightly faded and rubbed. The intention was that this work should consist of 16 volumes containing 400 plates, but Lord Brabourne’s death in 1915 “put an abrupt stop to the work” (publisher’s note).
