A collection of albumen and early silver prints (15), smallest measuring 27.5 x 21cm, largest 28 x 34.5cm, various mounts, and some mounted to detached album pages recto/verso. Photographers include Bourne & Shepherd, Shepherd & Robinson, Frederick Bremner; Lala Deen Dayal; subjects include a fine portrait of Maharaja Shri Ishwari Prasad Narayan Singh Bahadur, the Maharajah of Benares, with attendants; a Charles Shepherd view of Afridis at Jamrud Fort; a view of Jamrud Fort in the distance; a group portrait of Balochistan chiefs; a Lala Deen Dayal print of H H the Maharana Odeypur [Udaipur] atop his decorated elephant [most likely Fateh Singh, who ruled from 1884 to 1930]; occupational portrait studies including snake-charmers and a goldsmith; a study of state elephants in Mysore; a Samuel Bourne group portrait of Kashmiri women; and others, some examples signed or numbered in the negative.
