(Dampstained and otherwise soiled, faded passages although text generally legible, many margins strengthened with loss of text, occasional other restorations, some affecting text, some worming, frayed edges, occasional underlinings.) Modern blind and gold-tooled brown morocco, two modern paper flyleaves at back and front, and an additional old paper flyleaf at the front. CONTENTS: Fols. 1r-198v: text; [199]r-[200]v: blank. This work, generally regarded as the most exhaustive and precise super-commentary on Ibn Ezra, was composed in Damascus in 1370 at the request of the Nagid David ben Joshua Maimon. It exists in over a dozen manuscripts. The work was first published, with the omission of passages dealing with critical views, under the title Ohel Yosef in Margaliyot Tovah (Amsterdam 1722; Vinograd, Thesaurus , p. 57, no. 1192). It was published in a complete and critical edition from a Parma manuscript by D. Herzog (Berlin 1930).
