Like most of the others whose paths crossed with Lois, Hope got his start in vaudeville. He started in boxing, but soon moved to comedy. He moved to radio in 1934, and then to television as that gained in popularity. He interspersed his TV and movie career with USO tours, which he began doing at the outset of WWII, and continued for half a century. His credits include over 70 films, 14 books, 4 singles, and over 2000 awards, including over 54 honorary doctorates. Condition: Some handling wear.
