Dutch text, 107 (of 120) double-page maps COLORED BY A CONTEMPORARY HAND , all mounted on guards. (Lacking first title, 13 maps and a few text leaves, some maps and text with soft creases especially at beginning and end, a few marginal tears or tears to folds). Contemporary Dutch vellum gilt, gilt edges (some wear to lower spine end, some staining). Volume I in two parts of Blaeu's Atlas, superbly colored by a contemporary hand, comprises eastern Europe, Germany and the Low Countries. See Koeman I, Bl29A.
