This is without the engraved figures at the top and sides, and apparently is from Van Meteren's Wahrafftige Beschreibung aller Denkwurdigsten Geschichten, with old folds. There are numerous sailing ships and sea monsters in the oceans, an inset of Greenland and Iceland at the top, and other captivating features. This is State 3 of the map, according to Burden, with the name in the title cartouche changed from "Guiljel: Jansonnio" to "Guiljelmo Blaeuw" and the sea not re-engraved in the mentioned places. Because of the matting, we are not able to determine if there is text on the verso. See Burden 189.
