(Some browning or tears, ink ownership stamp on title and first preface leaf, some neatly repaired.) Contemporary vellum gilt, g.e. (spine torn at foot). Provenance : German armorial stamp. Volume V of Blaeu's Theatrum , comprising maps of Scotland and Ireland. Many of the Scottish maps are taken from the surveys of Timothy Pont (fl. 1579-1610), which were revised by Gordon of Straloch, and used by Blaeu in this, the fifth volume of Blaeu's Theatrum Orbis Terrarum.
