Blacker (William). Art of Angling, and Complete System of Fly Making, and Dyeing of Colours. Illustrated with Plates, Shewing the different Processes of the Fly before it is Finished; giving the Angler a perfect knowledge of every thing requisite to complete him in this noble art, 1st edition, published by the author, March 1842, engraved frontispiece and title on thicker and slightly shorter paper, signed by the author at end, a little spotting, lacks one plate, all edges gilt, contemporary blind-stamped calf with geometric design, rebacked with gilt-titled original spine relaid, a little rubbed, 12mo (141 x 89 mm), preserved in a 20th-century buckram drop-over book box with gilt title to spine The rare first issue of this work which was reissued in December 1842 and enlarged with 20 engraved plates in 1855.
