Gronvold's copy, vol.2 with 38 hand-coloured lithograph plates by Gronvold and bound in at rear 9 colour proof plates from vol.2 of Chubb's Birds of British Guiana plus 2 original pencil sketches by Gronvold, original printed wrappers to some parts bound in, contemporary russet half morocco, vol.1 with Gronvold's pencil signature on title plus a few annotations, vol.1 in contemporary tan buckram, 8vo and 4to, 1912-17. ⁂ An excellent association copy - the artist's own copy and with later bookplates of Alan Francis Brooke and Peter Tate. The two pencil sketches by Gronvold are of Argentine birds - the White-banded Mocking-Bird and Schulz's Dipper.
