Signed by the photographer in pencil in upper right corner, mounted to board (slight traces of use), photographer's logo in lower right on mount. In the early part of his career Walter Bird worked primarily on advertising commissions and portraits of actors, published in magazines such as Tatler and Theatre World , and also produced many nudes. He published several books on photography including Eves without Leaves (1940), which proved popular with British troops during the Second World War. – Slight oxidation mirroring in dark areas, otherwise in very good condition.
