Contemporary binding : pigskin on wooden boards, blind stamped boards with fillets, floral roll-stamps and fleurons, ribbed spine with ink title, red edges, brass clasps (slightly soiled, handwritten note on the upper pastedown, stamp on the upper flyleaf). Translation of the Bible by the Catholic convert Kaspar Ulenberg (1549-117) illustrated with 2 frontispieces and several monogrammed woodcuts in the text. The ones with the monogram E.P. are sometimes accompanied with an engraving tool instead of the mention "Sculps.".
