First edition. The work, dedicated to Cardinal Giovanni Francesco Barbarigo, examines several controversial passages of the Holy Bible for the purpose of a correct interpretation. Antonio Zanolini, educated in Jurisprudence, learned Jewish, the Chaldean and Syriac, teaching Oriental Languages in the Seminary of Padua, succeeding the Pasini. Against every prejudice, he maintained the importance of the study of the Jewish against all those who considered him "suspectum, prope haereticum", as he recalls in the dedicatory to Barbadigo; and published important studies and a trilingual vocabulary.Vedova, Scrittori Padovani, II/pp. 446-7
