Numerous full-page and smaller woodcut illustrations after Lucas Cranach Georg Lemberger and Hans Brosamer historiated woodcut initials Contemporary German blind-stamped pigskin over wooden boards, "Die Gantz Bibel" stamp in silver on upper cover, two brass clasps (spine ends repaired). Provenance : William Sterling Maxwell (large bookplate); acquired from Lathrop C. Harper, 1979. Rare edition of Luther's translation of the Bible with numerous large woodcut illustrations by Lucas Cranach the younger, Georg Lemberger and Hans Brosamer This edition not in Darlow & Moule.
