FANFARE BINDING OF CA. 1575, French gold-tooled red morocco over pasteboard, sides decorated to an all-over design of shaped compartments and leafy ornament, spines with four raised bands but not quite uniformly tooled, gilt edges (spines restored, several joints cracked, slightly rubbed in places). Provenance : E. Damphoux, President of the College of St. Mary at Baltimore (bookplate); Baltimore, Archiepiscopal Library (bookplate); Washington, D.C., Catholic University of America (stamps).
