Robinson, London, 10 July 1941) -- donated to SMS 29 August 1941. FIRST EDITION OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC VERSION OF THE BIBLE IN ENGLISH. This version was based on the same lines, and came from the same hands, as the Rheims New Testament of 1582 (lot 176). The complete work is commonly known as the "Douay-Rheims version."
