Practica seu Lilium medicinae...Venedig, Bonetus Locatellus für Octavianus Scotus 22. Dez. 1498). Fol. Fragment. Mit Holzschn.-Init. u. Druckerm. 88 (von 130) Bl. (num. Bl. 42-96 u. 1-33). Mod. Prgt. unter Verwendung e. alten Handschrift (Torah?). GW 4084. Hain 7800. Proctor 5095. Pellechet 5277. - Haeser Bd. I. S. 711. Bernhardus de Gordonio, one of the most famous physicians of the Middle Ages, came presumably from one of the various places in France which bear the name Gourdon (or possibly from Scotland), and taught im Montpellier from 1285 onwards. He began in 1305 his long esteemed magnum opus "Lilium medicinae". - Es fehlen die num. Bl. 1-41 u. das le. w. Bl. (a-e8, f1 u. ee6). Anfang stärker wasserrandig. 2 Bl. am Anfang mit Wurmloch im Blattrand. Mehrere Unterstreichungen u. Marginalien von alter Hand. - Text in gothic type on double column with woodcut initials, with many interesting contemporary manuscript marginalia Lacking first 41 numb. leaves (ff. a8-e8, f1 and ee6).
