An exhibition of Abbott's photographs titled "Berenice Abbott: Portraits from the Twenties" was held at Galerie Zabriskie, May 22-June 30, 1979. Mac Orlan (1882-1970) was a French novelist and songwriter as well as a noted figure in bohemian art circles in Paris during the 1910s and 1920s.
