Bellers (William, active 1734-1773). A View of Derwent-Water from Vicars Island towards Skiddaw, & A View of Winander Meer, near Ambleside, a Lake between Lancashire & Westmoreland, Robert Sayer & John Boydell January 17th 1774, two etched views on cream laid paper by Jean-Baptiste Claude Chatelain and Johann Sebastian Muller after William Bellers numbered to lower right corner 2 and 4 respectively, some light overall toning, and a few light vertical creases, plate size 405 x 540 mm (16 x 21.25 ins), sheet size 430 x 585 mm (17 x 23 ins), both window-mounted (Qty: 2) A reissue by John Boydell of the 2nd and 4th plates from William Bellers' Six Views of the Lakes which were first published by the artist himself in 1753.
