Guicciardini's famous description of the Netherlands (1st Italian 1567) published here by Janssonius with identical text to the Blaeu 1612 edition, a Dutch translation by Cornelis Kiliaan (1578-1607) of the Italian Plantin edition from 1581. It comprises a description of the Low Countries in the 1st part and of the Northern Netherlands in the 2nd part.
