Son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Menachem Mendel, disciple of the Ohev Yisrael of Apta.Served in the Skola (Galicia) Rabbinate for approximately forty years. Among the greatest Hassidim of Ruzhin, replied to questions presented before him and arranged the marriage ceremony at the weddings of Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin's children [who would meet him prior to the Chuppah and inform him of matters to have in mind while performing the marriage ceremony]. The Rebbe Rabbi Chaim of Kosov remarked that he responded according to Halachah in his replies and blessed him that his books would be accepted throughout the Jewish nation.
