Engraved frontispiece by van der Gucht and double-page folding map, half-title (top fore-corners at the beginning lightly waterstained). Contemporary panelled calf (rebacked). Provenance : Robert Wynn of Garthenrin (18th-century signature at head of title and possibly his monogrammed bookplate). Lowndes 143-44: 'The best edition, with learned notes and dissertations. King Alfred's Saxon version is also inserted in this edition'.
