Denslow in vermilion, brown, and black. (A few mostly marginal stains.) Original pictoral yellow cloth blocked in gilt, vermilion and plum, pictoral paste-downs (stained). Provenance : Harry Neal Baum (1889-1967), Frank L. Baum's son (presentation inscription from his father dated fall 1901; bookplate laid in). FIRST EDITION, INSCRIBED BY BAUM TO HIS SON on the flyleaf: "To my very dear son Harry Neal Baum This book is presented. L Frank Baum." This follow-up to The Wonderful Wizard of Oz details the adventures of a little girl, Dot, and a little boy, Tot, in Merryland, which could be reached by floating down a river through a tunnel.
