Bringing Batman back to Doc Willard's lab, Dyke aims to transfer his brain into Batman's body, and put Batman's brain into the gorilla. Dyke's plans go kaput when Batman escapes his clutches and captures his henchmen. The gorilla dies during his attempted escape, and Doc Williard goes mad as a result of this crazy experience. DC Goes Ape: This is the first of DC's infamous gorilla covers to be featured on a Batman mag. Gorillas; 2. Fire; 3. The color purple; 4. People running in fear from something.
