A nice original set of Batima building blocks, a Belgian toy produced for a short period of time near the turn of the 20th century. Likely the earliest known plastic construction toy, Batima is a precursor to Legos, one of the most popular and successful toys of all time. Virtually unobtainable set, with a complete and fine set of building pieces. There is no separate instructional booklet in this set, although it is unclear if it was issued with one.
