A brief account of the late revivals of religion in a number of towns in the New-England States, and also in Nova-Scotia; extracted chiefly from letters written by several gentlemen of unquestionable veracity. To which is added, The history of poor Joseph, True account of a pious Negro, The happy man, The unhappy man, The speech of the Gospel recruting officer . New York: Printed for L. Seaver, and J. Sutton 1800 8 o (170 x 110 mm). (Edges a bit frayed.) Stabbed-and-sewn in self-wrappers (frayed). RARE. Shipton and Mooney attribute the text to Thomas Baldwin The American Antiquarian Society is imperfect, lacking all after p. 24. A number of editions of this text came out starting in 1799; the present is the third edition listed by Shipton and Mooney. Evans 37524; Sabin 27588.
